A local medical group contacted me about headshots for their doctors at their annual meeting. The estimate was 30 people. I have done this once before, but I had help and it was for a lot less people. In the end, I photographed 65 people in 2 hours. The room couldn’t get any cooler than 82 degrees, there was a line of up to 20 people at a time, and every person was sweating. With a lot of patience and LOT of photo editing (to get rid of the shine, of course!), the photos turned out great and my client was very happy.
I learned a few lessons on this photo shoot. First, charge more for editing! I also learned that head shots take 5-10 minutes per person to look great. And you can bet I’m bringing a nice big fan next time, just in case 🙂
